The Untouchables: When a CIA Insider Confirms the Unthinkable

Deep in the final stretch of production on my upcoming 9/11 documentary, this week’s Rogue Philosopher has reluctantly taken a brief backseat. Rather than leave you without a Saturday dispatch, I’m re-sharing one of my most requested pieces from last year: The Untouchables.
Why pick this particular piece? Two reasons. First, The Untouchables examines three subjects whose complete files, I argued, we are unlikely ever to see: the JFK assassination, 9/11, and the Epstein Files. With 9/11 very much occupying my waking hours at present, revisiting the piece seemed particularly timely. Second, the attached one-minute clip provides direct, high-level insider vindication of what I documented in the first part of the essay.
The speaker in the clip is John Kiriakou, a former CIA post-9/11 chief of counterterrorism in Pakistan. Kiriakou later served as a senior investigator for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Few men understand the dark corridors of America’s national-security apparatus quite like Kiriakou. He famously shattered official silence in 2007 by exposing the CIA’s waterboarding program—surviving federal prosecution and imprisonment to emerge as one of the most recognized intelligence whistleblowers of the modern era.
In this brief excerpt, Kiriakou explicitly details how JFK’s confrontation with Israel over its secret Dimona nuclear reactor—and his threat to cut off U.S. military support—served as the primary catalyst for his assassination. This is exactly what I state in my article.
That is no small revelation.
When an intelligence insider of Kiriakou’s pedigree confirms what conventional gatekeepers have long dismissed, the historical record demands a second look.
